The Mersy Act

The psychology project The Mersy Act, under Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted, was founded on August 8th, 2020. With the message “Merci your beautiful mess” – embracing and valuing one’s imperfections, the project aims to bring psychology closer to students, helping them better understand mental health and learn how to take care of themselves.

Outstanding Activities

Over the past two years with The Mersy Act, my teammates and I, together with the organizing committee, have carried out numerous impactful and meaningful activities and events that spread positive psychological messages to the community, such as:

The project "Focus on the Mơ-mần" (2025) successfully raised charity funds through the sale of merchandise (over 100 purchases). A portion of the proceeds was allocated to support students with psychological difficulties at Gia Dinh Special School, helping them integrate into the community and experience meaningful moments.

Fundraising & charity event "Mo Mam Hoa" (2024 at Center for Inclusive Education Support for People with Disabilities)

The project “Nha So 50”, an annual initiative by TMA, has reached over 5,000 interactions, demonstrating its lasting appeal over years of organization. In this project, 50 random participants—including students, parents, and teachers/staff—are interviewed on a specific topic through one or several questions. It offers both the interviewees and the audience a chance to reflect on their lives, reorganize their personal thoughts, and restore emotional balance.

💛(Fun fact) Each year, we develop a different theme for “Nha So 50.” While the 2024 edition focused on the concept of time, the 2025 version invites viewers to reflect on their own definition of “happiness.”💛

Key event "Dreamphony" (2025) – a multisensory exhibition and workshop centered around the theme of sleep – attracted hundreds of participants.

In addition to the major activities mentioned above, booth events and psychological social posts also play an important role in bringing The Mersy Act and positive psychology closer to the public.

A unique and indispensable part of The Mersy Act lies in its bonding and booth preparation events. These moments give everyone the chance to meet, talk, and understand one another better, creating meaningful and memorable experiences together.

The Tran Dai Nghia Project

Founded in 2015 as “The Trần Đại Nghĩa Project”, we are a student-led organization created to host a prom night where students can connect, shine, and confidently showcase their talents. Today, Prom has become one of the most anticipated annual events at Tran Dai Nghia High school for the Gifted.

Season 9, a new turning point

“Through countless hardships,

Reaching a thousand dreams”

(“Xuyên vạn trắc trở

Chạm ngàn ước mơ”)

At Prom 2024, The Trần Đại Nghĩa Project brought forth the rustic beauty of the Mekong Delta, recreated through familiar scenes such as ferries, rivers, and boats—harmonized with the spirit of modern times. The beauty of the XUYÊN river flow can only be discovered through the multidimensional and delicate perspectives of the youth, who dare to step out of their comfort zones to live fiercely and authentically. From there, they overcome rapids and move toward the life goals they have set for themselves.

During my six-month commitment (from February to August) working for Prom as a member of the Program Committee, I collaborated with my teammates to accomplish key tasks such as: developing ideas and executing activities for various events, including online campaigns and Prom activities; creating the stage script and taking charge of technical aspects during the main night; proposing ideas and handling unexpected situations that might arise during the event; and more. My commitment along with my partners' became an essential part of the success of XUYÊN Prom.
